Torre Tavira – Camera Obscura began its journey in 1994 with a team of 3 people, an uncertain future, and a backpack full of enthusiasm and determination to face a challenge that did not seem easy…
Over more than 30 years, day by day, year after year, we have grown as our visitors and internal and external demands increased. Today, Torre Tavira has a team of 18 people, constantly growing and evolving. Men and women of all ages. Outstanding professionals from different sectors, but all with one common trait: their passion for Cádiz and for doing things well. With a clear goal: our absolute priority is to provide the highest quality service to our visitors.
Since the installation of Spain’s first Camera Obscura at Torre Tavira in Cádiz, Torre Tavira – Camera Obscura has continuously expanded its knowledge and experience, becoming a world reference in the installation of this type of tourist and cultural attraction using optical systems. Lisbon, Jerez de la Frontera, Havana, Écija, Seville, Santander, Tudela, Jaén, Béjar, and Valderrobres are some of the places where we have installed Camerae Obscurae. New installations and projects continue to emerge worldwide.
With a strong commitment to promoting and valuing our heritage and culture, and with a socially engaged and responsible approach, we are in love with Cádiz, passionate about its history, streets, corners, and people… and this is evident in every Camera Obscura session we offer, in every promotional campaign we carry out, and in every action we develop.
