Torre Tavira – Camera Obscura has been highlighting the need for an elevator at Torre Tavira since 2005. This initiative aims to make the facilities accessible to anyone who, for physical reasons, unfortunately cannot climb the 173 steps currently in the tower.

Currently, the Heritage Commission of the Junta de Andalucía cites “visual impact” to reject our request, even though the submitted project demonstrates that it is possible to install an elevator in a way that respects the monument, the surroundings, and complies with current regulations.

We seek the support of all citizens to gather signatures to help us achieve this dream: making it an accessible tourist attraction.
